Our Curse!

Our curse may be more than we can bear. Our emotions get the best of us. Hate traps us, Love blinds us. A caring and giving spirit is persecuted for his acts of kindness. Getting nothing in return for the love he has for all that is. Forced to walk the earth with blistered feet and tired eyes we look at what love and hate had already brought into this world. How can one escape this evil society around us. No one wants to just step back and hope it all works itself out. Many want to help, but it was an act of kindness that got us in this situation in the first place. Brought us so much pain. It is difficult to act on logic alone. According to the human heart the logical course of action is not always the right one. The human heart! This organ, this conscious beating soul trying to make understanding of right and wrong is our greatest downfall. It is this beating hunk of flesh that causes us to make many of the decisions we make everyday. Some married business man that hasn't been laid in six months hires the cute 18 year old blond over the college grad with all the certifications in the world. A fireman runs into some burning building risking his own life for a child he never met before. Some high kid takes a gun to school and shoots a group of kids that had been picking on him his whole life. These emotions are our curse. Greed, Envy... as long as such things exist the human race is truly doomed. Consuming the world one sinner at a time we destroy our own kind, our home, and our souls. From the first bite of the fruit of knowledge, to that last breath the last human breaths will be in vain.
